PBLE Peace officer

Roles and Duties

PBLE members are Peace Officers only when appointed as a designated officer under the The Municipal Act and when on duty and for the purpose of enforcing municipal bylaws. 


As a PBLE Peace Officer you will be tasked with:

   -Enforcing Municipal Bylaws (POA Tickets and MBEA Tickets)

   -Preserving and Maintaining the Public Peace, Safety and Health

   -Obtaining and Executing Entry and Inspection Warrants

   -Enforcing Municipal Orders

   -Conducting Property and Building Inspections

   -Process Serving

   -Conducting Investigations

   -Evidence Collection

   -Obtaining Statements and Interviewing

   -Note Taking and Report Writing

   -General Patrol Duties (Vehicle, Foot)

   -Preparing Court Documents


Dayshifts consist of 1 man cruiser cars while Evenings and Night shifts consist of 2 man cruiser cars.

Minimum Qualifications

-Must be 18yrs of age

-Hold a valid unrestricted MB Class 4 Driver's License

-Must have policing experience and have graduated from a recognized law enforcement agency

-Must be able to provide a clear and current criminal record and child abuse registry check

-Must possess a valid standard first aid and CPR certificate
